Winter in the Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia area can often be a very brutal time of the year for our homeless veterans and a time when vital resources are needed the most. Through the USASOA Homeless Veterans Outreach Program, and in partnership with the Department of Veterans Affairs, USASOA volunteers collect personal items, food, bottle water, warm clothing and more for our homeless and at-risk veterans - many of whom live on the streets of our nation that they once swore to defend with their lives.
For the first time, female veterans are facing and enduring homelessness at higher percentages.. Please join USASOA volunteers and staff to ensure that our forgotten and discarded homeless veterans receive the help and support that they need, earned and deserve.
You can support our mission of mercy by coming out to The Brig on Saturday, March 23rd. For a $10, donation you will enjoy happy hour drink and food prices all night, enter to win a Basket of Cheer (premium booze), 2 tickets to a Washington Nationals home game and gift certificates to several supporting businesses and restaurants in DC.
