USASOA TURKEYS FOR TROOPS - 2024

Our annual 'Turkeys for Troops' event is part of the 'FOOD FOR TROOPS' initiative, addressing food insecurity among military personnel. The combination of high food costs and modest military salaries often leaves young enlisted families struggling to place food on the table. Food insecurity undermines military cohesion, readiness, retention, and recruitment. To date, this year, our Food For Troops program has provided over $46,000.00 in food and essentials to military base families. While our efforts offer some relief, our Government Affairs Team continues to advocate on Capitol Hill for legislative solutions to this national issue. It is unacceptable for a nation that values its heroes, who secure our freedoms, to neglect them. We invite you to express your gratitude and support our mission to improve the lives of our military members and their families. Let's demonstrate our genuine appreciation for their sacrifices. Join us in providing military families with a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner.
