John P. Yori III, President and Co-founder
As a District Staff Officer and Flotilla Commander with the United States Coast Guard - Flotilla Washington 25-01 Auxiliary, John holds a BA in History and a minor in Government Affairs from the University of Maryland.
in 2012, John witnessed first-hand the need for essential items for our wounded heroes returning home from combat to the former Walter Reed Military Hospital on Georgia Ave in Washington, DC. The hospital was in grave need of repairs and updates and was overwhelmed with the enormous amount of wounded retuning from war for treatment and surgery.
In early 2013, realizing that this need required the commitment of a non-profit organization, John partnered with Christopher P. McDonald, a Navy veteran and friend to establish United Soldiers and Sailors of America, a 501c3 nonprofit military and veteran service organization. Through grassroots programs and services, the mission of USASOA is having a direct impact on the overall quality of life for our military and veteran communities and their families. The USASOA mission is clearly summed up in its motto, “Every service member, veteran and their families are to be treated as our nation’s greatest national treasures.”
