Volunteers are needed to put together WINTER SURVIVAL KITS FOR HOMELESS VETERANS who are living on the streets of Washington, DC regional area. Don't let this mission of mercy pass you by to have a direct and meaningful impact on the quality of life for our veterans in need.
We will be meeting in our Capitol Hill office which is located directly across the street from the Eastern Market Metro Station. Dinner will be provided. Sign up now and meet us for a special evening in which we #GiveBack to our veterans who need our help and our support. This is kid friendly - let's show the next generation of Americans what it means to give to those who are less fortunate.
Last year we were able to put together over 250 back pack Winter Survival Kits from our various collection drives and items which are donated by various businesses and individuals. We need to separate all of the items and then combine them into separate categories of toiletries for men and women, socks, wool hats, gloves, scarfs, hand warmers, warm jackets, nonperishable foods, blankets, 7-11 gift cards and more.
This year we have set a goal to double the amount of winter survival kits so we will need double the support of volunteers. When you sign up to attend, please reach out to your friends, those in your businesses and offices, places of worship and other organizations. Together, we can help heal the pain of hopelessness that so many of our forgotten homeless veterans experience every day.
