Ethan Shaw

Young Adult Leadership Director

Ethan Shaw is a student in the Class of 2026 at Georgetown Preparatory School. His journey to help veterans began in 2023 when he established the GP Veteran Aid Club. The goal was to, through various service outreach programs, support all homeless and at-risk veterans in the DMV area. After extensive research of on local nonprofit organizations, Ethan met with Mr. John Yori, the United Soldiers and Sailors of America’s (USASOA) president. They quickly formed a partnership, bringing a new wave of enthusiastic volunteers to USASOA events. For over 18 months, Ethan has coordinated and led a team of students from three local high schools in the fight against veteran homelessness. In the Fall of 2024, Ethan was officially invited to join the USASOA Government Affairs Legislative Team as an intern working closely graduate level interns under the guidance of the USASOA Government Affairs Legislative Director. Though he is young, Ethan has developed a deep devotion to service and leadership. He helped lead a team of peers to raise over $3,000 for underprivileged villages in Nigeria and was invited to the HOBY Leadership Conference in 2024. He has also since been selected to attend the West Point Leadership and Ethics Conference in the spring of 2025. After high school, Ethan plans majoring in Political Science and/or and International Relations with the goal of obtaining a law degree and thereafter working to benefit the lives of veterans who have sacrificed so much for our country. Ethan is honored to accept the position of Young Adult Leadership Director and is excited about his continued partnership with USASOA.
