United Soldiers and Sailors of America - USASOA is proud to be assisting with the DC Silkies Hike For Suicide Prevention this year. We will have a booth at the meeting location in Alexandria, Virginia and be distributing bottled water and Gatorade to the hikers. The hike is for veterans only but volunteers are needed to assist with the logistics of the hike as well as promote the event in general.

This is a 22km hike for the 22 vets who commit suicide every day. The MISSION of Irreverent Warriors is to bring veterans together using humor and camaraderie to heal the mental wounds of war, through therapeutic events and entertainment, in order to reduce PTSD and prevent veteran suicide. Our VISION is to provide all U.S. Veterans with the strongest veteran based support network, reduce the impact of PTSD, and eliminate veteran suicide.
Your donation will help cover the cost of permits, insurance (required to obtain a permit), support items and reception at the finish.
